More Infos

In 2024, I joined BBlack Studio as a game designer and prototyper on two video game projects.
The first is a survival-crafting game, where I designed the core game loop, created the skill tree, and built two levels to test the game’s feel.
The second is a system-driven colony sim, for which I developed the game loop and designed one of its key systems to test its mechanics and overall fun factor.

Survival-craft game

I consolidated the core gameplay loop to improve player progression and engagement, and prototyped skill trees to test progression, and player choices commitment. I also built 2 levels as playable prototypes to give directions for subsequent level design. Finally, I oversaw the documentation of the project with the KMS

This provided the team with a validated core loop, clear documentation, and directions for continuing game production. It also helped identify key features and mechanics that needed to be prioritized during development.

System-driven colony sim

The project was at a very early stage, consisting only of the creative vision and game intentions. I was tasked to iterate on mechanics and systems in order to give a clearer view of the potential of this project.

I designed the core gameloop and one key system as a proof of concept for development complexity, costs, fun factor, and prototyping. This was documented so that the team gain clear insights about viability of the project and potential issues before costly development
